AIA OK Honor Awards Program

Thank you for your interest in submitting a nomination for the newly created AIA Oklahoma Honor Awards Program. The purpose of the program is to recognize AIA members and other individuals or organizations within and outside the profession of architecture who share its commitment to the quality of life in Oklahoma. The Honor Awards program will be held in alternate years when the Awards of Excellence design awards program is not presented. That means that the new Honor Awards program will be held this year.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTAL

Deadline for nomination submittal is Friday, October 1, 2010.

AWARDS PRESENTATION

The awards will be presented on Friday, November 5, 2010, during the AIA Oklahoma Annual Convention on the OSU campus at The Wes Watkins Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The awards luncheon will occur at noon, with special keynote speaker General Tommy Franks (ret), who will speak on, "Architects As Leaders in Oklahoma." It should be a very special event. At this time, AIA Oklahoma will also be presenting scholarship awards to two students from the OU College of Architecture and the OSU School of Architecture, as well as recognizing new architectural licensees.
